What’s in My January Ipsy Bag?

The time has come again for me to share the goodies that came in my Ipsy bag. It has been a few months since I’ve been getting Ipsy, and I have been pretty satisfied with the products I’ve been getting.

The key to getting more products that you love is to review EACH product EVERY month. Do not ignore the emails they sent you to review products. It helps them to help you. Your reviews will get you the products you want. Plus, you will get points to redeem for more products. What more could you ask for ?

Here’s what my January bag looks like:

This month’s bag design has to be one of my favorites. I may use it as a little go to clutch instead of just storing makeup. The silver lining and soft blue detailing are perfect for the winter.

Now on to the best part, the products! I received five products in total, and I have to say that I was unbelievably excited to try them all out.

Product One: Ipsy L34 Blend Beauty Brush

You cannot go wrong with making a brush. The brush is either cheap or well-made. I was a little worried about Ipsy’s brush not meeting my expectations since I’m starting to build my brush collection. I am finally starting to upgrade from my basic e.l.f. brushes. However, Ipsy’s brush is starting to be one of my favorites. It is soft, cute and blends quite well. That is all I look for in a brush, and I was quite satisfied.

Product Two: Trust Fund Beauty Lipgasm Lipgloss in “Blame Game”

As most of you know, I love my matte lipstick, so I don’t use lip glosses as much anymore. However, since this one came in my bag, why not try it? It was a soft, mauve-like color so I knew it would go great with my skin tone.

After using it for two days straight, I knew this one was a keeper. The color is slightly sheer and it keeps my lips soft. The only issue I had is that the gloss doesn’t last as long as I wanted it to. I had to reapply it a couple times more than some glosses I’m use to. Other than that I absolutely loved it.

Product Three: Naked Cosmetics’ Eye shadow in “Desert Sunset”

Now I have wanted to try Naked Cosmetics for so long! I was so excited to find this pot of eyeshadow in my bag. Moreover, once again, they picked a great shade to match my skin tone. Between the strong pigmentation and the shimmer, this has made my favorites list.  Plus, I love how a little of this stuff goes a long way. It will probably take me months to use up this whole pot—since I don’t wear eyeshadow on an everyday basis.

Product Four: H2O+ Beauty Oasis Hydrating Cream

All I have to say about this hydrating cream is that it’s the best thing to have during these dry winter months. The only thing that disappoints me about this cream is that the container isn’t bigger. This moisturizer is right up there with my Simple one— and we know how much I love Simple products.

Product Five: Ciaté London Geology Top Coat

Just like the brushes, you can’t go wrong with a top coat nail polish. It either does the job, or it doesn’t. I am currently wearing the top coat as we speak, and my nails are shiny and chip free (so far).

So that is all for the January bag. Like I said before, I feel like the products are getting better and better each month. I can’t wait to see what comes in the February bag!

Until next time.
